Silver Lake Rowers doing Well at University
3 Silver Lake Rowing Club grads
that moved on to university this fall medaled at the Ontario University
Association (OUA's) Championships in St. Catharines on the weekend.
- Terry Lovegrove (with veteran
Fraser Berkhourt from St Catharines) in varsity heavy double rowing for Brock
got gold
- Robbie Puddy in heavy mens 8
(rowing with a mix of rookies and veterans) got gold, also rowing for Brock
- Samy Fairley (rowing with and
other first year student, Kerith Gordon from Nova Scotia) in the varsity
lightweight double got bronze rowing for University of Guelph
Also rowing for university of
Guelph Ian Edwards made the finals in the varsity double and then got 6th and
Hannah Anderson was 5th in the lwt 4+ heat
so good showing for our kids!
