Fisher Places Second in B Final at Junior World Rowing Championships
Laura Fisher of Port Ryerse together with Kristin Kelly (Brockville), Virginia
Kane (London) and Alex Shishkov (Mississauga) placed second in the B final of
the Junior Women's Four at the Junior World Rowing Championships held in
Brandenburg Germany last weekend.
Representing Canada, Fisher’s crew recorded a time of 7:09.67 - just one and a half seconds back from first place Ukraine. Their time was better than the United States national team who had advanced to the A final and placed sixth. After three days of racing, Fisher's crew earned a final ranking of eighth out of twelve national crews drawn from across Europe as well as the United States.
