YOUTH LEARN TO ROW CAMP
Beginning July 11th, the Silver Lake Rowing Club will be hosting a five session
Learn to Row camp targeting boys and girls entering Grades 7, 8 and 9.
According to Jim Dover President of the Silver Lake Rowing Club, this camp is an excellent opportunity for youth to experience the sport of rowing. Emphasis is on skill development and fun! All sessions are two hours in length. The first session is on land when participants will learn about safety, equipment handling and rowing technique. The remaining four sessions are on the water where participants will learn basic rowing skills. By the fifth session, everyone’s rowing the length of Silver Lake!
Rowing sessions continue from July 18th through to August 20th – four times a week – for those interested in training for a fun regatta and skills challenge. The cost of the five session Learn to Row program is $50.00. To continue rowing through to August 20th costs an additional $75.00.
