Anna Ardiel Selected Team Captain of Women’s Rowing Team at University of Louisville

Anna Ardiel of Normandale was recently selected Team Captain of the Women’s Rowing Team at the University of Louisville for the 2007 – 2008 rowing season.

Ardiel began rowing on Silver Lake in Port Dover with Simcoe Composite and Silver Lake Rowing Club crews. She finished her high school rowing career as a Canadian High School Champion winning gold at the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association Regatta in 2005 in the Lightweight Women’s Single category. Ardiel is on an athletic scholarship and in her second year of studies at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.

According to Head Coach Laura Fogt at the University of Louisville, “Ardiel has been amazing since day one and we would love about 20 more of her.”
