RETIRED TEACHERS OF ONTARIO PULLING FOR THE SILVER LAKE ROWING CLUB
At 10 am on Saturday November 20th at the Silver Lake Market in Port Dover, the Silver Lake Rowing Club will be recognizing the Retired Teachers of Ontario for their significant donation to the sport of rowing in Norfolk County.
According to Jim Dover President, Silver Lake Rowing Club “Not only did the Retired Teachers’ donation make it possible for us to purchase much needed equipment, it demonstrated their members support for the sport of rowing in Norfolk County at a time when our sport is threatened.” The $3000 donation has been used by the rowing club to purchase sculling oars and a speaker system.
Hazel Andrews from the Retired Teachers of Ontario will be present as will rowing club volunteers and athletes who will be preparing equipment for winter storage.
The Silver Lake Rowing Club was established in 1999 to promote the sport of rowing in Norfolk County and surrounding communities.
