RETIRED TEACHERS OF ONTARIO PULLING FOR THE SILVER LAKE ROWING CLUB
The Silver Lake Rowing Club expressed their thanks to the Retired Teachers of Ontario for their recent donation to the rowing club on Saturday.
Hazel Andrews of the Retired Teachers of Ontario was on hand at Silver Lake in Port Dover to view the new sculling oars and cox box purchased with the money received. According to Jim Dover President, Silver Lake Rowing Club “Not only did the Retired Teachers’ $2700 donation make it possible for us to purchase much needed equipment, it demonstrated their support for the sport of rowing in Norfolk County at a time when our sport is threatened.”
